Janice Kite, Managing Director, A.I.M. Consulting Ltd is a now a GS1 Global Traceability Accredited Auditor. She is the ONLY GS1 Global Traceability Accredited Auditor in the UK. What relevance does this have for your organisation?
Pressure is building for suppliers and providers to adopt and implement the GS1 System of Standards to improve patient safety and supply chain efficiency, but the Department of Health acknowledged (in Review of coding for success implementation) that this “is a necessarily complex topic…”. So how to you know where to begin?
The GS1 Global Traceability Checklist is used to audit an implemented GS1 Standards based system and it will highlight gaps. The Checklist can also be used as a tool to assess the organisations current status and highlight gaps. The assessment can then be used to prioritise how and when those gaps will be addressed (i.e. a project plan).
As a GS1 Global Traceability Accredited Auditor, we can undertake that organisational assessment and work with you to develop and implement the project plan, ultimately resulting in GS1 compliant processes and systems. Contact us to discuss this further.
